A little more than 7 years ago we under took the first step in re-organization ourselves towards
projecting our identity under the GAYATRI GROUPS.
This was curved out of the B.P. PODDAR family companies which over the last 70 years had been
involved in various business such as Steel, Cotton, Chemical, Tea, Warehousing and Large Scale Real
Estate Development.
In this group we have created 4 verticals to grow, achieve and transform our existing business to
create value which are JUTE MANUFACTURING, REAL ESTATE (with both private development, PPP
Projects with Government and Contracting of Trunkey Projects), WARE HOUSING AND BREWERY.
The group on a whole is on an expansion mode and has recently acquired ANGLO INDIA JUTE MILL in
2016 there by doubling its Jute Capacity. In the Real Estate sector, we have expanded our horizon as
we have started working various municipalities in the state to provide Affordable Housing Facility. To
the people in the Urban and Semi Urban Areas.
The JiwanSagar Group was carved out of the Kishorepuria Family originating from Bihar. The group started initially with trading activities of Iron and Steel under the banner of Ramchandra Bhagwandas. Later the group setup its first industrial venture by setting up a Steel Re Rolling Mill in Bhagalpur. The group also ventured into manufacturing of Stainless Steel Utensils which were marketed under the name “R. K. & Vijay”. Gradually a stockyard for exporting steel was setup in Nepal which was a very Lucrative market. The group is now The Authorised Distributor for TATA IRON AND STEEL LTD. In Bihar, Orrisa and M.P. The Group is also the Authorised Distributor for ESCORTS, SONALIKA JOHNDEREE TRACTORS in Orrisa, West Bengal and U.P. The group also is a C&F agents for Lafarge Cement where in 40000MT is sold every month. The newspaper printing plant was setup in 2001 in Bhagalpur with a capacity to print 200000 papers hourly under the JIVANSAGAR TIMES PVT. LTD. The group has now also diversified into the Hospitality, Manufacturing of Chemicals and the Real Estate sector. The group is constructing a Housing Project namely GARDEN HIGHTS in Bhagalpur consisting of 318 Flats amounting to 4.5 lakh SQFT and has also recently setup a Hotel with Banquet and Restaurant in the heart of Bhagalpur.
